Completed in 1909 it is the longest and highest steel trestle bridge of its type in the world. Johnston's book uses numerous archival photographs to clearly explain the building of this remarkable structure which is today considered Lethbridge's most memorable landmark. First published in 1977 as Occasional Paper no. 7 and re-published with additions in 1984 (no. 12), 1993, 2002 (no. 37) and 2008 (no. 46).
